GxP Systems Plans to Expand Its Workforce by 50%

"Shortage of Engineers Available in Ireland"

Cork, Ireland Monday, May 16th, 2011: Despite having 20 vacancies at present, there seems to be a shortage of engineers available in Ireland, according to Conor Wall, CEO, GxP Systems, the leader in the provision of regulatory compliance consultancy and project management services. The company is seeking to expand its workforce immediately by 50% to 60 people.

"Every single client company that pressed pause 18 months ago owing to uncertainty in the markets is switching back on," said Wall. "As a barometer of the state of Ireland's economy, this increased demand for skilled engineers is a positive sign and something we haven't seen for a long time. However, it is proving extremely difficult to recruit experienced engineers.

"At GxP Systems, we help our clients to get medical devices and drugs approved by the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration)," said Wall. "We are currently seeing a marked increase in demand within our existing customer base coupled with requests from new customers looking for professional help with regulatory issues."

GxP Systems is looking for automation, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, validation and quality engineers with regulatory experience. The positions with GxP Systems are primarily in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.

GxP Systems was established in 1997 and is headquartered in Cork, with offices in Galway and Boston, USA.
